Culture abounds at the libraries and museum, a local coffee house and theater, and community events such as the annual Glenn Miller Swingfest and summer concert series in the city park. Each year, the Morgan County Area Arts Council presents an impressive array of art exhibits, concerts and productions, including a magnificent dinner theater. Local cuisine and shopping are quite varied, and an occasional trip to the nearby Denver Metro Area presents an interesting change of pace.

The communities of Morgan County pride themselves on their well-maintained parks, two quality golf courses, two outdoor aquatic centers, and recreation programs. There is something that appeals to every generation, from the skateboard park and BMX track, to the gorgeous nature trail that winds east along the South Platte River. Fort Morgan's Riverside Park encompasses a 180-acre nature area near the South Platte River. The park also features duck ponds, basketball courts, softball fields, disc golf course, and free overnight camping. The Brush Prairie ponds provide a multitude of experiences for outdoor enthusiasts.

Opportunities for outdoor recreation are plentiful in Morgan County and Northeastern Colorado! Fishermen might experience some of the best walleye, white bass, trout, or catfish around. Some of the finest hunting in North America is found in the area, including pheasant, turkey, grouse, quail, geese, duck, deer, and antelope.
