Local cuisine and shopping are quite varied, and an occasional trip to the nearby Denver Metro Area presents an interesting change of pace.

Fort Morgan's Riverside Park encompasses a 180-acre nature area near the South Platte River. The park also features duck ponds, basketball courts, softball fields, disc golf course, and free overnight camping. The Brush Prairie ponds provide a multitude of experiences for outdoor enthusiasts.
Opportunities for outdoor recreation are plentiful in Morgan County and Northeastern Colorado! Fishermen might experience some of the best walleye, white bass, trout, or catfish around. Some of the finest hunting in North America is found in the area, including pheasant, turkey, grouse, quail, geese, duck, deer, and antelope.
