Jackson Lake State Park
Jackson Lake is ranked one of the Top 15 Park Beaches by Reserve America for its shoreline camping and its large warmwater reservoir with sandy bottom and beaches. Anglers, boaters and naturalists alike will enjoy the variety of water and land-based recreation and facilities found here.
Pawnee Grasslands Birding Tour
The legendary Pawnee National Grassland is one of the only places near Denver where you can stand in native prairie, with gayfeather and pasqueflower tickling your feet, watching McCown’s Longspurs and Lark Buntings skylark against a backdrop of snow-covered peaks, in one of the very few areas in the country that has changed very little in the past 200 years. A stronghold of the increasingly threatened grassland ecosystem, this lush prairie is home to Kit Foxes, Long-billed Curlews, Mountain Plovers, and Burrowing Owls. Here, too, are seasonal wetlands, dramatic buttes, and some of the most famous spots in Colorado to find migrant birds in spring and fall, such as Crow Valley Campground. This is rightly one of the most popular wildlife watching destinations in the state, not to be missed by true lovers of nature.
The Bobstock Music Festival
Rockin’ Glenn Miller Park in downtown Fort Morgan our annual music festival showcases more than 20 bands on five different stages over two days. Vendor booths, Beer Garden, Food trucks, and Kids Activities are all part of the festivities, plus it’s FREE to attend.
Disc Golf/Pickleball Heaven
I-76 Speedway
A 1/4 mile high-banked dirt oval race track located on the west side of Fort Morgan, Colorado. Summer Season Racing is held April thru October.
Rainbow Bridge and Riverside Park
Conveniently located just minutes from downtown, this expansive park spans nearly 300 acres along the South Platte River and offers a serene escape for outdoor enthusiasts. Whether you're into hiking, picnicking, or simply enjoying the fresh air, Riverside Park provides ample space to unwind and connect with nature. Birdwatchers will find Riverside Park particularly rewarding, with its diverse habitats attracting a wide variety of species year-round.
Brush Rodeo and the Bucking Bull Battle
The Brush Rodeo has a rich history that dates back to the early 1900s. It started as a small community event but has since grown to become one of the biggest rodeo events in the country. The rodeo is known for its tough competition and exciting entertainment, making it a must-see event for rodeo enthusiasts and families alike.
