Northeastern Colorado Revolving Loan Fund

List Item Image

NCRLF provides small business loans in the six counties of northeastern Colorado. Loans are made to benefit communities, through new or existing services or products and job growth. The underlying funding for these loans originates as either Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds, other grants available from time to time, or revolved funds (also known as direct loans). Underwriting requirements and restrictions vary for both loans.

The purpose of the NCRLF is to create new employment and expand the economic base through the provision of investment capital to new and existing businesses. It is our intent to offer loans to applicants that otherwise could not obtain conventional financing. NCRLF also steps in to partner with banks to fill any gap when they cannot provide all necessary financing. The use of funds can be used for furniture, fixtures, equipment, real estate and working capital.

Our Commitment to Confidentiality

MCEDC wants to be your trusted adviser. Whether you’re an existing business or a business looking to relocate or expand into Morgan County, we know that confidentiality is key in economic development projects.

When we work with a business on a project, we are often privy to a lot of sensitive information, including financial information, strategic growth plans, and research & development activity. During a BRE visit, for example, we might learn that an employer needs working capital, is looking to expand their footprint by obtaining additional space, or is considering transferring some production and employees to a different location. Until plans are complete, an employer would want to keep this out of the public eye.

We take confidentiality very seriously. When we work on a new project, that project is given an anonymous name that is used on all correspondence and project-related materials. We do not share information on our website, publicly, or in any format during the project. Once the project is complete and considered a “win,” we will work with the employer to promote it, but only with the express consent and participation of the employer. There are no exceptions to this practice.

This dynamic financial resource is dedicated to catalyzing growth and prosperity in our community. Designed to support businesses, entrepreneurs, and community projects, this fund offers low-interest loans with flexible terms, tailored to the unique needs of our local economy.

What sets our RLF apart is its self-renewing nature. As borrowers repay their loans, those funds are reinvested, ensuring a continuous cycle of financial support. This sustainable approach enables us to provide ongoing assistance to new enterprises, fostering innovation, job creation, and community development.

Whether you're a small business looking to expand, an entrepreneur with a game-changing idea, or a community project seeking to make a difference, our RLF is here to empower your vision. Together, we'll drive economic growth, strengthen our community, and build a brighter future for all.

But navigating the complexities can be confusing and overwhelming. That’s why the SBDC has created specific programs to assist you in launching your endeavor.

At no charge, you can meet with a business consultant who understands your situation and can devise an action plan to progress your company. Areas of counseling can include, but are not limited to: business plan development, marketing strategy, registration and licensing, start-up, and financing preparation.
